It started with a Droog Milkbottle Lamp in 1996.
We were called in to install a chandelier at the Moss store in Soho. It was over and inside a glass and powder coated steel display case, which made things slightly challenging. That and the fact that Murray Moss was, and most definitely still is, one of history’s most astute observers.
Several hours later after fortuitous use of a moving blanket, a solid core door, and a vacuum (that we brought with us), we had the client of a Lifetime and Murray had a team that did WHATEVER he wanted.
From that moment until Moss closed in 2012, we installed everything that was ever shown at any of the various Moss entities, including Murray and Franklins apartments, and help build out the architecture as well.
Amongst the countless design curiosities that Moss introduced to New York, Vitsoe arrived in 1999. The owner of Vitsoe, Mark Adams, came to New York. We set up our very first 606 system in the back of store with Mark and Murray looking on.
Fast forward 25 years and thousands of Vitsoe installations later, Full Wolf Inc still specializes in these installations.
During that time, Ted McCann, Ryan Reggiani, and I worked closely with nearly all the contemporary design greats; Gaetano Pesce, Dieter Rams, Hella Jongarious, Ingo Mauer, Jasper Morrison, Claudy Jonstra, and Michael Anastassiades (to name a few) and continue to have close working relationships with Miller Knoll, Wright Auction, countless design, interior design, and decorating firms and of course, Vitsoe, where we not only installed their 606 systems, but also the built out their original New York store on Bond St and their current space at 17 W 8th St.
